What is the driver for you wanting to learn the piano? Why now? Do you wish you could play the piano or regret not having learnt to play? Have you always wondered how music works? Perhaps you may be put off by not being able to read music, or think it’s going to be too hard? Don’t be put off; get excited at the possibility of playing the piano. You’ll get all the skills you need as you learn to play the pieces you want to play.

You don’t have to spend years on technique or scales to be able to play the piano. You’ll get an understanding of how the music works as you play it and discover it.

Firstly, you’ll need a keyboard. Or perhaps you can borrow one to start with? Secondly, Give some thought to what kind of music you most like to listen to and what you’d like to be able to play. Thirdly, we’ll decide on which pieces are best to begin with and I’ll make some suggestions.

My job is to make a fun and easy way in to the music you want to play. I break down the music into its essential elements and figure out an arrangement that suits your ability level. I scaffold and structure the learning to suit your needs as an adult learner.

I look forward to working together to add some more music to your life.
