Why My Method Works
I cater specifically for adult learning.
You choose the music you want to play.
I’ll make the learning easy and enjoyable.
Are you new to playing the piano or did you used to play?
Sessions in Balmain
You’ll be playing the pieces you want to play from the start. I have a lovely grand piano that will make you sound and feel like a professional. We’ll choose which pieces to start with from your suggestions, with some help from me too. I find there is always a piece of music that’s ideal for your skill level and interest.
Sessions Online
I offer piano lessons by Skype or FaceTime, with some supplementary YouTube videos when needed. You’ll be playing the pieces you want to play from the start. We’ll select these carefully from your suggestions, with some suggestions from me too. I find there is always a piece to meet your skill level. In preparation, I’ll send you any sheets we need prior to our session.
Learning Made Easy
If you’re new to playing the piano, you’ll be surprised how quickly you can learn to play the music you want to play. If you’ve played before, you’ll be surprised that there is an easier way to learn. A new enjoyment comes from ‘playing for fun’ as opposed to ‘practising the piano’. You’ll want to play when you feel like it and when it fits best into your weekly routine.
Perform with confidence
If you believe you’re not a confident performer, this sets the stage for not being able to perform in the way you know you can. You may be referencing a single past event, or not paying attention to the times you have performed confidently. If you’re replaying a past event, this gives it a lot of power, rather than treating each event as a new experience.
